Itai Capsuto was born in Kiryat Ono in 1982. He studied at the environmental high school in Midreshet S’de Boker, where he stayed for one more year post high school as a volunteer. Itai spent his army years in the Shaldag unit as a navigation instructor. Following the army Itai worked in agriculture and was a counselor in a pre-army Mechina in the Golan Heights. Itai is a certified tour guide and is currently studying at Haifa University for his bachelor’s degree in geography.
Itai has been served as the Director of the Hannaton Mechina since it was founded in 2012, until 2019. With more than 15 years as an educator, Itai brought a unique voice to mechinot in Israel, emphasizing the importance of inclusiveness for all within the mechina.
Itai lives in Kibbutz Hannaton with his wife Anat and their sons Yotam and Hagai.
