“Tikkun Olam” is a seminar that brings North American high school students to Hannaton for three days of volunteering and learning. The goal of the seminar is to make a positive contribution to the world, Israel, the Galilee and to Hannaton through needed volunteering work. To learn about what tikkun olam means as Jews and as citizens of the world. And to make a change!
Participants engage in the varied volunteer activities in and outside Hannaton, including work in a community garden, volunteering in local schools, recycling projects, and engaging in light labor in an effort to mend our surroundings.
The program also contains a learning element. Through engaging methods participants will understand the notion of tikkun olam in Jewish heritage, its relation to the wider society and how to continue their activities on their return home.
